VINEYARD

SOURCED FROM A SINGLE VINEYARD WHICH LAYS ON TOP OF ANCIENT RED VOLCANIC SOILS JUST NORTH OF THE VICTORIAN BORDER

WINEMAKING

THE FRUIT WAS HAND PICKED, DE-STEMMED AND FERMENTED ON SKINS FOR 18 DAYS PRIOR TO PRESSING. THE FERMENT WAS HAND PLUNGED THREE TIMES A DAY AND PRESSED ONCE DRY. THE WINE WAS MATURED IN NEW FRENCH OAK PUNCHEON FOR 14 MONTHS PRIOR TO RACKING AND BOTTLING.

TASTING NOTES

THE WINE IS BURSTING WITH DARK BLUE FRUITS, COLA, CASSIS, SPICE AND CLOVES. THE PALATE IS DENSE AND RICH WITH A LOVELY JUICINESS, AND EXQUISITE CLARITY. TANNINS ARE LONG AND FINE, ALLOWING THE WINE TO AGE BEAUTIFULLY OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.

2017 WAS A SUPERB VINTAGE CHARACTERISED BYHEALTHY SPRING RAINFALL AND PERFECT EVEN RIPENING CONDITIONS THROUGH TO AUTUMN.
